Our Beliefs
At Ilima Intermediate, our school climate is defined by caring, supportive teachers and dedicated staff who work collaboratively to enhance student achievement. We foster a learning environment that addresses the unique needs of developing adolescents while encouraging curiosity, connection, and growth.

Our teachers inspire enthusiasm for learning by using diverse, student-centered instructional strategies, including project-based and place-based learning. These approaches help students make real-world connections and apply their learning in meaningful contexts.

Our curriculum offers a wide range of courses and instructional methods, blending interdisciplinary studies with standards-based resources to engage students and meet the needs of the whole child. Within both our classrooms and advisory program, we emphasize professionalism, career awareness, and workforce development to help students build the skills needed for success beyond school.

Our leadership team promotes a clear and shared vision, values open communication, and supports collaborative decision-making to ensure that every student is empowered to thrive.
General Learner Outcomes
The GLOs are the essential overarching goals for all grade levels in Hawaii’s public schools -- from elementary through middle to high -- and all of the academic disciplines.
